This week's app that I've chosen to use is Hometalk. Quite honestly, I was excited to use it even before this week, so I was tinkering a bit. It looked just so much more sophisticated and well made than last week's app, Creative Ideas, so I couldn't wait!
I followed the instructions loosely; I had to make a few adjustments. Firstly, I used a mason jar to paint because I didn't have an extra vase or a glass bottle that would fit inside the lantern. As well, skipped using coffee grounds, because I didn't trust that that was really needed. Baking soda was clumpy enough for my liking.
This is what the process and final product look like.
My final rating of Hometalk.
A DIY? Yes. A fantastic one? No.
Nonetheless, here it is.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hey Erin, I love the app you were able to use this week! It looks like there are so many things to choose from that would be great to try out. I like how you were able to go off the bases of one of their projects, but make it work for whatever you already had! Also love the Halloween costume and how you included your pup!

Thanks for the encouragement, Brooke! Using someone else’s idea as a bases definitely takes the load off and is less intimidating then coming up with an idea myself. I’m thinking I’ll have to give this app another go for next week, it’s just so good!

Hi Erin! I think your DIY projects are going so great! I have always loved doing thigs for myself and crafting but I never really have the time for it. I am definitely going to have to take a few of your ideas for later!
